Carol Gibbons of Kent Scientific Services successfully passed the Part C exam, the final exam of the MChemA, the post graduate qualification required by Public Analysts. She is now awaiting appointments to Kent’s local authorities.

Glasgow APA lab introduces schoolchildren to water sampling

Glasgow Scientific Services carried out a visit to Crookston Castle Primary School in Pollok at the request of Class teacher Sarah-Jane Caldwell to carry out some water sampling of the nearby Levern water as part of the Comenius project.

Food Fraud Highlighted at APA Conference

Public Analysts met in Liverpool last week to discuss food fraud and food security. Delegates at the Association of Public Analysts’ conference listened to public analysts and representatives from the food industry and government talking about the fallout from the horse meat scandal and the lessons that can be learned in order to detect or prevent future food scares.
