  • Academic Success for Glasgow Scientific Services Modern Apprentice

    Glasgow Scientific Services is in its third year of running Modern Apprenticeships in Life Sciences. Rachel Lyndsay was one of the first MA's recruited onto the four year program. Rachel completed her PDA/HNC within two years and this has meant that she still has two years of her apprenticeship left. As Rachel has shown commitment and application to her studies, Glasgow Scientific Services has committed to supporting Rachel to further her academic studies by assisting her to secure a place at the West of Scotland University studying for a General Science Degree.

  • Liz Moran elected APA President

    Liz Moran was elected as APA President at the APA Conference in Edinburgh earlier this year - only the second female to be elected President in the Association's long and distinguished history. Liz said ‘I am looking forward to working with my fellow public analysts as we change and adapt the association to deal with the challenges currently facing us. I believe there is a bright future for public analysts in a world where food safety, standards and authenticity are of increasing importance. The association will be putting its case forward at every level to ensure that decisions affecting the public analyst profession are made from an informed point of view.’
