Aberdeen Public Analyst Laboratory Finds a New Home

Food Standards Scotland acknowledges a “long term under investment in local authority scientific services laboratories” as the move of Aberdeen Scientific Services Laboratory (ASSL) is announced. The lab will relocate from Old Aberdeen to the James Hutton Institute’s campus in Craigiebuckler on the west side of the city.

Kent Laboratory features in Channel 5 show "Shoplifters & Scammers: At War with the Law

Kent Scientific Services have been involved in some filming for a Channel 5 program "Shoplifters & Scammers: At War with the Law" which focussed on food fraud. Public Analyst Jon Griffin was interviewed for by the film crew, and there was filming of testing such as cigarette analysis and spirit authenticity.
