The Association comments on proposed guidance on MSM
The Association has commented on proposed guidance to discriminate between “Mechanically Separated Meat” (MSM) and “Desinewed Meat”. It recommends that:
• The definition of MSM given in Regulation (EC) No 853/2004 be adhered to.
• No guidance should be issued without proper consideration of labelling issues
