The Public Analyst Scientific Services (PASS) team has welcomed Michelle Evans as its newest member.

Michelle is MChemA qualified and joined as Public Analyst following a 30-year career with Staffordshire County Council.

At the County Analyst’s laboratory she tested food samples, waters, consumer goods and agricultural materials. She gained a first class honours degree in Applied and Analytical Chemistry in 1993 before becoming a qualified Public Analyst.

Michelle said she was “delighted” to have joined PASS and was looking to further build on her qualifications and experience.

“Nowadays, there are fewer and fewer Public Analyst labs, many are closing or shrinking operations, so I’m delighted there are lots of opportunities at Eurofins.”

Michelle will handle local authority clients in England and Wales, and will utilise her understanding of the cross over between the public and private sector.

Given Eurofins’ global presence, Michelle said she was looking forward to visiting and learning from labs in other countries, bringing back the learnings to PASS in the UK.
