  • Glasgow APA Laboratory's Scientific Advisor assists Scottish Fire and Rescue Service


    Firefighters made use of the high reach Aerial Rescue Pump to assist in conducting atmospheric monitoring of the surrounding area, and worked closely with the scientific advisor to identify the substances involved.

    Throughout the incident SFRS officers and the Scientific Advisor liaised with other partner agencies including The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) and Police Scotland to bring the fire safely under control and crews remain on the scene dampening down and stripping away affected areas. The cause of the blaze is not yet known and an investigation will be conducted by the SFRS.
