APA Laboratory finds dangerous levels of phthalates in childrens toys
Head of Laboratories (& a Public Analyst) John Robinson, said “the fine imposed by the magistrates show that the courts take the issue of unsafe toys seriously. Though Trading Standards departments are under ever greater financial constraints they are endeavouring to remove unsafe items from sale to the general public. Enforcement through testing by Public Analysts is an important tool, or in this case key to element, which needs to be more widely recognised and supported”.
